Bob came out to give an estimate and unlike the previous contractors he spent ALOT of time going over the house with a fine tooth comb. He was super courteous and friendly and answered any questions we had. He sent us a quote a couple of days later that fully detailed all of the work. It was separated into sections so we could pick and choose what we wanted to have done. His crew of 5 full time workers (no day laborers!) showed up right on time at 8AM and worked through to completion. They were friendly and tried to stay out of the way as much as they could. When they were done they cleaned up, put everything back in the attic and Bob gave us a tour of everything they had done. Our house was a foreclosure that needed some work when we bought it so I've dealt with a number of contractors over the last few months and I must say that Bob and his team are far and away the BEST group of people I have worked with. You might find less expensive but you won't find better. A++++++++++!!! |

The two gentlemen assigned for this task arrived promptly as scheduled. Even though it was raining buckets. Made their introductions to us, and went right to work. Protective blankets were put down from the front entry door, up the stairs and covered the entire hall under attic pull down stairs. When the task was completed, both men stood outside dusting themselves free of the residue of the insulation. Then began the clean up. Carefully removing the protective pads and vacuuming the entire area with great care! |

Description of Work: |
Andrew and Beau added several inches of cellulose insulation to the existing attic insulation, bringing the R value from R15 to R38. They also created a styrofoam cover for the top of my attic access ladder to reduce heat loss through the thin plywood. Pete installed a bathroom light/exhaust fan, including the addition of new duct work and rewiring the entire fixture due to poor original wiring which was shorting out. |

Bob Bird came to give an estimate for adding insulation to my attic. He set a specific time, not a 4-5 hour window of time which seems the norm these days. He was on time, very professional, and enthusiastic about his company and the work they do. He answered all of my questions and explained the whole process in detail (including the additional work of adding an exhaust fan in the bathroom). Pete, Andrew, and Beau arrived to do the work on time and as scheduled with the new bathroom fixture I'd picked out. During the installation, Pete found that the old wiring in the bathroom was shorting out (stripped wires), so he rewired the whole fixture which has been working great. This delayed the insulation installation a bit, but everyone stayed positive and professional. It was obvious they enjoy working together. The insulation installation went very smoothly, and I've been completely satisfied with everything involved with this project. I'd recommend this company 100%! |

Description of Work: |
The crew showed up on time with two trucks. The drivers did all the work. They unloaded the baffles for the soffit vents and installed them first. Then they added the exhaust fan extension and attic fan cover. When all this was in place they blew in cellulose insulation to an R-30 value. Finally they installed the attic door insulation "box." |

Went extremely well. They were on time, did the work we contracted them to do, and cleaned up very nicely, even folding the sheets we put down to protect the carpeting. We couldn't have asked for better performance. |

The estimate was clearly explained in detail by Bob Bird. The crew were on time, worked without delay and finished the job in 1/2 day. They were courteous and cleaned up the interior of the house. I believe the price was a fair value for the work that was done. Two small items needed a call-back to complete to my satisfaction. They were done by Mr. Bird without delay. |
