(Note from Bob:  It was very common for the air conditioning in this lake-side home to run 20 hours every day during the summer.  Their HVAC  company said they had done all that was possible.  When the homeowner called us, it was obvious what their need was.  We super-insulated the attic to R-49, and insulated the exposed floors of the house by drilling 1 1/2" holes and fillling the voids with 8" of densely packed cellulose.  This cost them less than half the cost of a new system!)
