In addition to the available Tax Credits, you also have access to rebates from GA Power. GA Power has partnered with ENERGY STAR to create a rebate program for existing/older homes, called Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES). To qualify for the program rebates (which is up to $1900.00):
- Be a GA Power client
- Have an energy audit conducted on your home by the qualified HPwES assessor on our team. This audit takes about ½ a day, starts at about $380, and uses diagnostic equipment to pressurize your home. This reveals & pinpoints exactly where your home & HVAC systems are leaking energy. The audit will also prioritize (based on the findings) the recommended improvements, and we can quote them.
- At this point (once the audit is completed), you will receive a rebate for the audit itself (for 50%, up to $200.00).
- For the improvements you authorize on your home and that are completed by BIRD-Family Insulation (a qualified HPwES company), you will receive extensive further rebates.
