In their 60+ year-old custom home, our crew of 3 Home Performance with ENERGY STAR professionals spent a week making these improvements:

Completely air-sealed the house against uncontrolled air leakage. Our hard work achieved a 58% reduction in unfiltered, uncontrolled air infiltration for the client!

AC/Htg ducts hand-sealed & pressure tested before adding duct insulation, (a 3 ton system).
Upgraded their attic insulation to R-38 with thick, cozy Applegate cellulose insulation.
Installed passive attic ventilation.
Because the crawlspace held seasonal water, we installed a sump pump before installing our “ecomony” 6-mil vapor barrier. All seams and perimeter edges are properly sealed.
We measured appliance energy usage, installed exhaust fans, and more!
