Bob Bird
Bob founded Bird Family Insulation in 2002 along with his two oldest children, Abbey & Beau. In January, 2024 Bob retired from the company, leaving it in the capable hands of three of his children, Beau, Savannah, and Chris. Beau Bird is the President, Savannah is the office manager, and Chris handles sales.
Bob & Debbie now spend much of their time volunteering at their church, camping, and sharing their time between the homes of their three oldest children who are married with families.
Debbie Bird
Debbie is Bob’s high-school sweetheart and wife of over 42 years. Debbie is the CEO of Bird Family Insulation and “backs up” Savannah in her office duties. She loves riding her e-bike with Bob in the many campgrounds they visit. If you meet her, you’ll agree that all our kids get their love for laughter and zeal for life, from their mother.
Dan Compton

Dan’s first experience with Bird Family Insulation was as many of you experience us… as a client! He was super impressed with his “virtual appointment” experience, and his resulting “site evaluation” from Bob, and the actual job itself as Chris & Beau upgraded his attic insulation. Dan joins BFI specifically as your “Virtual Comfort Pro” on the phone who will answer your questions and help you calculate your virtual estimate. Go ahead and ask the hard questions… Dan’s 30 years as a cellulose manufacturer’s rep qualify him as your expert!
Savannah Bird Mallard
Savannah is our office manager. She is just like her brothers Beau & Chris: outgoing, cheerful and always smiling while she’s on the phone with you! At age 21, Savannah spent 6 months with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) as a short-term missionary in Mongolia. SJ, (as we call her) manages our schedules and contracts with the local utility companies and our crews who are assigned to those roles. She also monitors all office email (including Bob’s old email that gets tons of contacts), collects your payments, and manages the company finances. She loves to spend time with her husband, children, and German Shepherd, Bear. She’s such a radiant part of our team and we wouldn’t be the same without her.
Beau Bird
Beau is truly the best there is at implementing home performance upgrades. for homeowners. Beau is 4-time BPI certified and, at 16 years of age, he set a record as the youngest person to become BPI certified! Beau literally grew up in our family business. After you meet him, you may agree with all the others: “Everyone loves Beau.” His personality is outgoing and confident. Now that Bob has retired, Beau leads the company through the daily decisions, while managing our retail crews and providing overall leadership to all of our personnel. Beau loves doing home projects with his wife and two precious kids!
Chris Bird
Chris Bird is the youngest Bird sibling. He has been working in the family business since he got out of diapers and he has played a part in every role possible here. He can truly do it all! Currently he is responsible for all sales calls, performing the site visit and attic evaluation for you when you’re ready to finalize your quote. He is two-time BPI certified, (Building Performance Institute) and also graduated at the top of his class with a HVAC associates degree from Southern Crescent Technical College. You will truly have an EXPERIENCED EXPERT in your home. In his free time he loves time with his Golden Retriever, Juliet and photography. As an interesting note, Juliet was re-homed to Chris when she was 1 year old from a family in St Louis, MO after they met Chris! Recently he spent 10 days in Utah with his camera equipment and drone. He is our resident IT guru and life of the party! Everybody loves Chris, hands down.
Brian Martin
Contractor, Crew foreman, energy assessor
Brian started working with BFI in 2016 as an auditor and estimator. In 2021 he transitioned to leading a crew in heading up the Georgia Power Home Energy Efficiency Assistance Program (HEEAP & EASE) and the Hope Works clients that we are assigned. As well, Brian’s crew also serves our private clients.
